City of Cold Lake Awarded Recycling Contract
The City of Cold Lake has secured contracts to continue curbside collection, depot services, and recycling processing under Alberta’s new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Regulation. This means producers will now fund recycling programs, and the City will deliver the service on their behalf. Mayor Craig Copeland credits the City’s efficient operations and staff for winning the bid. There will be no changes to residential utility bills. Phase I runs until September 30, 2026, with a bid for Phase II underway. Learn more about utility services at coldlake.com/utilities.
