Floating Water Park Coming to Kinosoo Beach in 2025
Cold Lake City Council has approved a Letter of Understanding with Cold Lake Splash Park Inc. to bring a floating inflatable water park to Kinosoo Beach for the 2025 season. The proposed park will feature slides, obstacle courses, and floating walkways for ages six and up, with plans for future toddler-friendly features. It will operate on municipal land, pending permits and insurance, and without cost to the City. Safety, liability, and security measures were discussed, with the vendor committing to monitoring, insurance, and regular maintenance. Admission is expected to be $28, with group and resident discounts.

Cold Lake Gathers for Emergency Preparedness BBQ Despite Windy Weather
Strong winds didn’t stop Cold Lake residents from attending the Emergency Preparedness Barbecue on May 7, hosted by Cold Lake and District FCSS. The event brought together local first responders, Cold Lake First Nations, and other emergency partners to educate the public on readiness during Emergency Preparedness Week. Activities included emergency kit demos and opportunities for residents to engage with fire crews and search and rescue. Organizers emphasized the value of teamwork, training, and community connection in improving emergency response across the region.
